Ella McCall Obituary

Lake Toxaway – Ella Mae McCall, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 27, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was born on Dec. 4, 1922 to James Robert McCall and Callie Owen McCall. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Walter McCall, three brothers, Rev. Leo McCall of Hendersonville, Roy McCall of Balsam Grove, , and Fleming McCall of Macon, GA, and one sister, Lillie Mae Devore of Marietta, SC. She was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church and was the last surviving member of her family. Survivors include her six children, Cleon and Douglas McCall of the home, Betty McKinney of Brevard, Wanda Henderson of Pisgah Forest, Linda Stewart (Odell) of Glenville, and Helen Cornett (Jasper) of Lake Toxaway; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Willowree McCall of Hendersonville, Irma Lee McCall of Cullowhee, Ruth McCall of Brevard; one brother-in-law, Virlin McCall of Brevard; a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mack McCall Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
