Ernestine Owen Ward, age 70, of Brevard died Friday May 7, 2010. She was born
August 7, 1939 in Gloucester NC to the late Ira Tillman Owen and Sara Iva Lee Owen. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Donald Gary Ward, two brothers Dan and Carrol Owen and one sister Josephine Smith.

Survivors include two sons; Darrell Ward II of Penrose and Mark Ward and wife Laura of Pisgah Forest, two daughters; Sandy Jones and husband Moe of Hendersonville and Kim and husband Scott of Severville Tenn.
Three brothers; David Owen of Florence SC, Ronnie Owen of Denton NC and Hoyt Owen of Asheville, three sisters Geraldine Fisher and husband Tony of Lake Toxaway, Jean Norris and husband Charles of Blantyre and Christine Selton and husband Stanford of Lake Toxaway, sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be private.
