James Bryan Meece

James Bryan “Jimmy” Meece Rosman – James Bryan “Jimmy” Meece, 45, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Mission Hospital. He was a son of Luther Edward and Marilyn L “Tootsie” Mason Meece. Jimmy was a loving husband and a devoted father of four. He was “Poppy” to eight beautiful granddaughters. Jimmy left a piece of him with everyone he met and was known as “Uncle Daddy” to many. He volunteered as a coach for the Rosman Youth Football team for many years. He coached girls softball in Transylvania County and coached “T-Ball” for his granddaughters teams. He had a great love for music and was an exceptional artist. A dream came true for Jimmy, “One more game with Coach Fox”, he was able to be the starting left tackle for the Rosman vs. Brevard Alumni Football game in 2013. Jimmy was a “gentle giant” who opened his home to everyone. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kim Meece; one son, Cory James Meece and wife Savannah of Rosman; daughters, Christina Meece Landers and husband Matthew of Rosman, Cayla Meece Fowler and husband Taylor of Penrose, Kelsey Brooke Meece and finance Cody Henson of Rosman; brothers, Edward Lee Meece and wife Ginny of Penrose, Gunnery Sergeant Jeff “Booger” Meece and wife Cassie of Cherry Point, NC; uncle, Jeff Mason and wife Michelle of Brevard; granddaughters, Addy, Anzley, Annamarie, Janielynn, Lexi, Allee, Elissa, and Marlie. The Meece family would like to invite everyone to attend a Celebration of Life at 2pm on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the Lake Toxaway Community Center.
