Jeremy Scott Wilson, age 33 of Blacksburgh SC formerly of Lake Toxaway died Saturday July 30, 2011. He was born May 5, 1978 in Transylvania County to Willie Garland Wilson and and Gail McNeely Wilson of Lake Toxaway. Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife Ashley Darden Wilson of Blacksburgh SC, one sister; Jamie Leigh Wilson of Newport News, VA. His mother–in-law Judy Darden of Wilmington, brother-in-law Chad Darden and maternal grandfather Jack Paul of Decatur AL. Jeremy graduated Rosman High School in 1996, The Methodist University in Fayetteville in 2000 and The Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 2003. Jeremy was a partner with The Jonas Law Firm in Lincolnton NC, a member of the Lincolnton Rotary Club and The North Carolina Bar Association. He loved God, his family, fishing , hunting and his law practice. He was a good attorney and made partner very quickly because of his work ethic, his competitive drive and his ability to communicate with people of all walks of life. After law school he married Ashley Darden from Wilmington NC his college sweetheart who he loved dearly. Jermey will be missed by all who know and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday August 3, 2011 at Lake Toxaway Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Danny McLamb. Interment will follow at Whitmire Cemetery in Lake Toxaway. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Lincoln County Rotary Student-Loan Fund, PO Box 682, Lincolnton NC 28093. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnathan Rhyne Jr., W. Todd Pomeroy, Steve Austin, Nick Morris, Scott Kensey and Josh Cash. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard E. Jonas and the members of The Lincolnton Rotary Club.
