Jewell Lusby

Jewell (Jill) Clark Lusby, 83, of Brevard passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013. She was a native of Munford, Alabama and was a daughter of the late John Thomas and Esta Bruce Clark . She was also preceded in death by her husband; Robert Lusby and her sister, Hazel Dean Ehrensperger. Jill was a member of the First Methodist Church of Brevard where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She sang for the Transylvania Choral Society and was a member of the “Connestee Cats”. Survivors include her son; John Lusby and wife Elizabeth of Clinton, SC, daughter; Melissa Tenhet and husband Terry of London , KY, five grandchildren; Laura Cleary and husband Ryan, Lee, Julie, and Catherine Crawford and Anna Lusby. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, October 7, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Holder officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church of Brevard, 325 North Broad St., Brevard, NC 28712.
