Rosman – Judith Boley Orr, 84, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 29, 2011 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. A lifelong resident of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Mamie Whitmire and was the wife of the late Bud Orr. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, Hugh and Alice Boley, her sister, Lucille Cox, her great-granddaughter, Keri Rutledge, and her adopted brother, Frank Boley. Mrs. Orr was a life member of the VFW Auxillary, the Rosman Fire Dept. and Rosman Rescue Squad Auxillaries, and the Cancer Club. She was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are her daughters, Danila Luker and husband Paul Ray Luker of Rosman, Kathryn Luker and husband Ralph of Rosman, Martha Robinson and husband Charles of Lake Toxaway, Arlene Smith and husband Junior of Rosman, Darlene Orr of Rosman, and Tammy Sisk and husband Gary of Rosman; sons, Ronnie Orr and wife Pat and Kevin Orr all of Rosman; sister, Margaret Whitmire of Pisgah Forest; brothers, Arthur Whitmire and wife Geraldine of Lake Toxaway, Otis Whitmire and wife Evalee of Rosman, Lynch Whitmire, Jr. and wife Geraldine of Rosman, Bruce Whitmire and wife Lana of Rosman, and Douglas Whitmire of Rosman; 19 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and 3 on the way; a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, September 1, 2011 in Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Tommy Owen and Kyle Reese officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Calvert. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
