Brevard – Martha White Galloway, 82, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. A lifelong resident of Transylvania County she was the daughter of the late William Rod White and Thelma Lance White and was the wife of the late John Andrew Galloway who died in 2004. She was also preceded in death by her son, William Bailey, sisters, Omelia Bailey and Gladys Gerard, and brothers, Len, Lee, Warren, and Richard White. Mrs. Galloway was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Surviving are her sons, Steve Bailey and wife Sandra of Pisgah Forest, Loyd Bailey and wife Mary Jane of Brevard, and Fred Bailey and wife Virginia of Hendersonville; daughters, Tessie Pincay and husband Tony of Mt. Holly, NC, and Marie Smothers and husband Johnny of Indian Trail, NC; grandson, Steven Bailey and wife Amy; 14 other grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday, September 17, 2012 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Buster McCall officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Sunday at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
