Meade Fisher Obituary

Meade Curtis Fisher Lake Toxaway – Meade Curtis Fisher, 88, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Roland Thomas Fisher and Nancy Ann Miller and was the husband of the late Helen Collins Fisher. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Woodrow, Paul, and R. T. Fisher, and his sisters, Mary Etta Gillespie and Millie O’Dell. Mr. Fisher was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was a well decorated veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WW II. Surviving are his sons, Randall Fisher and wife Shirley of Toccoa, GA, Larry Fisher and wife Wanda of Brevard, Jackie Fisher and wife Loretta of Lake Toxaway, and Jeffery Fisher of Lake Toxaway; sister, Betty Harrison of Brevard; nine grandchildren eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 22, 2010 in the Chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Rev. Vess McCall officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Quebec with military graveside rites conducted by the Honor Guard for Transylvania County Veterans. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
