Rosemary MacQueen Obituary

Rosemary Janes MacQueen, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away at the age of 89 on July 5, 2017 at Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, NC, with loved ones by her side. Formerly of Pottersville, NJ, Rosie was born on November 20, 1927 to the late Roth and Catherine Janes in New Albany, IN. She was preceded in passing by her devoted husband Jack MacQueen and daughter Pat MacQueen. She leaves behind fond memories with survivors, son Gary MacQueen and his wife Janet, son Bill MacQueen, daughter Cheri MacQueen, grandchildren Brian MacQueen, Andrea MacQueen, and Sara MacQueen, and brother Ed Janes and his wife Anne. A graduate of the University of Delaware and Centenary University, Rosie worked as a lab technician for Morristown Memorial Hospital before eventually dedicating her life to raising her family. An avid and talented artist, she loved painting and created numerous beautiful works of art. She was a longtime member of the Fairmount Presbyterian Church and the Pottersville Ladies Auxiliary, through which she was able to enjoy spending many years peeling peaches during the Pottersville Antique Show. A celebration of life will be held at the Fairmount Presbyterian Church, 247 Old Turnpike Road, Califon, on Saturday July 22nd at 11:00 am with a reception immediately following at the Community House. Rosie will dearly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing her. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of her memory may be made to the Hunterdon County Ark.
