Candler - Ruth Wilson Cairnes, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 10, 2017. A native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Maggie Stamey Wilson and the wife of the late Clyde Owen Cairnes. Mrs. Cairnes was a very active member of Trinity Baptist Church where she was a greeter. She loved to meet people, shake their hands and love on them. She was also active in the church’s Golden Hearts (nursing home ministry). Survivors include her son, Tony Cairnes and wife Cara of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Katherine Allison and husband Clyde of Cherokee, NC, Edith Reed and husband Ronnie of Campobello, SC; brothers, Paul Wilson of Atlanta, GA, Bud Wilson and wife Trish of Campobello, SC; granddaughter, Ashley Cairnes of Knoxville; two great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, July 14, 2017 in the chapel of Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Rash, Rev. Davis Plemmons, and Rev. Donnie Walker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Boylston Baptist Church Cemetery, Mills River, NC Online condolences may be left at www.moodyconnollyfuneralhome.com.
