Alton McKee the son of the late Louise Ruff and the late Walter James Young was born February 27, 1945 and departed this life on December 11, 2017 at Long Leaf Hospital in Wilson, North Carolina. He attended Cumberland County Schools, and he worked for the City of Fayetteville for a number of years. he was a faithful member of the Light House Church, Massey Hill, Fayetteville, North Carolina for seven years until his health declined. Even during the time of illness he knew God would take care of him and that He was still in charge of his life. Until the end he remained true to God. Alton is preceeded in death by his wife, Daisy Mae McKee, his loving grandparents, Earl and Louberta McKee. He leaves to cherish his memories, one brother, David Ruff (Tracey), of New York City: one sister, Jamesena Wise (Thomas) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; four aunts, Reverend Marie Smith, Reverend Delores Locke, Apostle Dorothy Hawthorne, (James), all of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Sue McKee of Rockaway Queens, New York; one uncle, LeAlbert McKee (Roberta) of Fayetteville, North Carolina and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
