Marvin Lee Kelly departed his life on Saturday, May 07, 2016 at Duke Medical University. He was born July 8, 1946 to the late Rosa Lee and Edward Kelly. He accepted Christ at an early age and later began his journey to fellowship and Pastor with many churches. He enjoyed serving God, bringing and saving souls, all while encouraging others. Marvin was a great husband, father; grandfather, brother, uncle, son friend and pastor. He loved sports but most of all football. He was a football coach for many years. Marvin was preceded in death by his mother and father, Rosa Lee and Edward Kelly, two sisters; Betty Moore, Cassie McLean, four brothers; John Cook, James Kelly, Edward Reid, Charles Kelly, one son-in-law; Bruce Smith and a several brothers and sisters-in-law. He leaves to cherish his fond memories; a loving and devoted wife, Colene Kelly of Fayetteville, NC; his children; Barbara Smith, Evanda Harrison of Fayetteville, NC; James (Carolyn) Kelly of St. Paul’s’, NC; grandchildren; Kimberly Hale (Romerrol Moultrie), of Fayetteville, NC, Jvon Thomas of Austin, TX, Marvin and Eboni Kelly of Fayetteville, NC; Jamale (Tyeihsha) Robinson of Fayetteville, NC; great grandchildren; Kristina, Jonesha, Joseph McMillian, Raymond Kelly, Barbara Maltrie, Jvon and Anthony Thomas, Jamale Jr., Kay Robinson, TyRee and Destine Jones, four sisters; Hazel Louise Kelly of Hope Mills, NC; Mary (Isiah) Warren of Indian Head, MD; Francis Townsend of Columbus, OH; Wilheminia Walls of Brooklyn, NY; one brother; Willie Robert Reid of Columbus, OH; one sister-in-law; Carolyn Kelly, four brothers-in-law; John McLean, Masie Mclean, James McLean all of Fayetteville, NC, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.
