Carmen Schwanholt Obituary

Carmen Isabell Schwanholt, 94, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011. Born in Milan, IN, she was the daughter of the late William Fritch and Mildred Jacob Fritch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Nathan T. Schwanholt who died September 1, 2001 and two brothers, Mark and William Fritch and sister, Lillian Siegel. Carmen was formerly very active with the Republican Party. She attended First Alliance Church. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Carmen Clark and husband Charles Patrick Clark of Franklin; two grandchildren, Charles Nathan Clark of Lewisville, NC and Carmen Marie Shepard of Candler, NC and three great grandchildren, Nathan Andrew Clark, Lorelei Jewel Shepard and Boston Jackson Shepard. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, March 13, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Elder Nelse Bates, Charles Nathan Clark and John Clark Shepard will officiate. Burial will be in Rush Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Elwood Shepard, Charles P. Clark, John Shepard, Charles N. Clark, Wanda Pritchett and Marie Shepard. Memorial donations can be made to Bethany Christian Adoption Services, 142 Airport Road Suite K, Arden NC 28704. Macon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
