Ernest "Sonny" Wallace

Ernest “Sonny” Wallace, Jr., 84, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019. Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Ernest Wallace, Sr. and Ellen Beatrice Green Wallace. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Billy, Hilton, and Robert and sister, Joyce Setser. Sonny was a member of Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church. He was an entrepreneur owning and operating several businesses in Franklin. He enjoyed camping, listening to bluegrass gospel music and bird watching. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mildred Brendle Wallace; brother, Donnie Wallace and wife Judy of Franklin; sister, Nannie Dills Grennier of Franklin; and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. David Crunkleton will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Gregg Wallace, Jeffery Wallace, Bobby Wallace, Larry Wallace, Jerry Wallace, Gary Setser, Ben Swafford and Harold Scott.
