Jack Angel Obituary

Jack B. Angel, 84, of Franklin, NC, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Homer Paul Angel and Alma Irene Sanders. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jo Angel and two sisters, Helen Angel and Kate Dalton. Jack was a US Air Force veteran and worked as a machinist. He is survived by one brother, Homer Angel and three sisters, Phyllis Leopard of Pontiac, MI, Jewell Walker of Marion, NC and Pauline Wilhelm of Statesville, NC. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 9th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Terry Jenkins will officiate with military honors conducted by VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108. Burial will be in the Ridgecrest Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Dennis Vinson, Zeb Scott, Ed Fowler, Jerry Shepherd and Jerry Lawrence. Joe Shepherd and Mark Conner will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences can be made at maconfuneralhome.com.
