Martha Neville

Martha Cofield Neville, 82, of Rabun Gap, GA, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017. Born in Warthen, GA, she was the daughter of the late Walter C. and Rubye Brantley Cofield. Martha received her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and retired from the Clayton County School System after teaching for 37 years. She enjoyed reading, traveling, playing scrabble and watching Georgia football and basketball. She was a member of Dillard United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Sidney B. Neville; three sons, Warren Neville and wife Mary of Prospect, KY, David Neville and wife Patty of Canton, GA and Michael Neville and wife Anita of Waxhaw, NC; one daughter, Amy Hood and husband John of Rabun Gap, GA; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 2nd at 3pm at their home in Rabun Gap, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the United Methodist Children’s Home 500 S. Columbia Dr. Decatur, GA 30030 or online at www.umchildrenshome.org Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences can be made at maconfuneralhome.com.
