Ruby Lois Freeman, 88, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017. Born in Rowland, NC, she was the daughter of the late Lauch Wesley Wallace and Pearl Rogers Wallace. Ruby was a retired Federal Judge’s Assistant and was an avid bowler. She is survived by two sons, James Braxton Freeman (Debbie) of Franklin and Wesley Edmond Freeman of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two grandchildren, Sharon Freeman Bennett (Todd) and Britt Douglas Freeman and one great granddaughter, Macie Bennett. Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at Ashpole Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Rowland, NC. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff of the Franklin House for the excellent care provided to Ruby; Memorial donations may be made to the Franklin House, 186 One Center Court, Franklin, NC 28734.
