Victor Teague Obituary
Victor Teague, 83, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019.
Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late John Woodrow Teague and Ruth Ann Berry Teague. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Doug Teague. Vic was a US Navy veteran, owner of Teague Dairy Farm for over 40 years, a member of the board of directors for Farm Bureau, and an active member and deacon of Higdonville Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer who was active in his community and known as a generous giver.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances Seay Teague of Franklin; children, Keith Teague (Julie) of Hayesville, Vicci Owens (Tom) of Hendersonville, Tim Teague (Alicia) of Franklin, and Kelli Tippett (Steve) of Franklin; sister, Konda Morrison of Buena Vista, VA; six grandchildren, Cristin Owens Ratkowski (Brad), Preston Owens, Brooke Tippett, Amy Tippett, Savannah Teague, and Maranda Teague; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 pm, Saturday, March 23 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Judson Hall, Rev. Gene Hawkins, and Larry Raby will officiate. Burial will be in Higdonville Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 – 3 pm, Saturday, March 23 at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Andy Berry, Gary Taylor, Brian Taylor, Clinton Ledford, Sput Seay, and Jay Seay.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Fred Goldsmith, Pete Penland, and Jerry Sutton.
