Roy Edward Canupp, Jr, 65, of Stanley, NC, passed away in his home on Sunday, December 29, 2019. Roy is survived by his wife, Teresa; his brother Bobby Canupp and wife Cindi; his daughter Dena Canupp-McNeile and husband John; son David Canupp and wife Amanda; son Chris Canupp and wife Krystal; step-daughter Misty McLeoud; loving grandchildren Peyton Campbell, Kayli Canupp, and Elijah O'Neal and extended family. Roy's favorite hobby was fishing whether it was at a carp lake or at his favorite beach, Oak Island, on the surf or on the pier. He was the happiest with the fishing rod in his hand or spending time with his kids. If you wish to pay your respects, the family will be having a memorial service at Mountain Island Community Church located at 4316 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd, Charlotte, NC 28216. It will be held January 4, 2020 at 1:00pm. There will be no viewing.
