James Willix

James Edward Willix, age 75, of Connelly Springs, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Carolina Caring in Catawba County. He was born September 26, 1943, in Englewood, TN son of the late John Lewis Willix and Vinna Young Willix. Mr. Willix was a fixer in the textile industry and was a member of Grace and Truth Missionary Baptist Church. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Mary Davis Willix of the home; sons, Keith Willix of George Hildebran, Eddie Willix (Debbie) of Nebo, Mark Willix (Polly) of Drexel; daughter, Rebecca Woodall (Michael) of Connelly Springs; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Grace and Truth Missionary Baptist Church in Hickory on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 PM with the Service to follow at 4:00 PM officiated by Rev. Joseph Green. Burial will be private. Mackie-Whisenant Funeral Home is serving the family.
