Billy Bryson 78 of Greenville, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord, Monday, January 18, 2021, after an illness with COVID 19. He was born in Jackson County to the late Henry and Nellie Talley Bryson. Billy was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers and was member of United Baptist Church. Billy retired from Vulcan Materials after 34 years of faithful service. He was a godly man, a real “POWERHOUSE” for God. He taught others how to love our Lord and how to oppose evil. Billy gave us strength and he gave us energy. In other words, he gave us his “BEST” and his “BEST” was always cheerfully given to the Lord Jesus Christ. Family and friends will always have fond memories of Bill Bryson, and though we will all miss him dearly, we find comfort in words from the Holy Spirit, “Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.” Rev 14:13 KJB. Billy’s faithfulness, compassionate and kind loving spirit toward family and friends has given us the true man of God. Surviving are his loving wife Peggy Alexander Bryson, son Billy Raymond Bryson, Pamela Bryson, Landon Bryson, Lily Lopez. Grandchildren: Ashley Stines, Cassie McDonald, Candace Lindille, Alex Bryson, Tabitha Bryson and Curtis Bryson (Michaela) Great Grandchildren: Averi McDonald, Acen Sudduth. Brother Henry Jr Bryson, Sisters Kaye Bryson Jennings, Myra Bryson Smith and Louise Bryson Jennings. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 1:00pm at Hamburg Baptist Church Cemetery in Glenville, NC with the Reverends Nick Bailey, Jeff Massey, and David Hall officiating. A brief gathering of family and friends will be at the church in the parking lot from 12pm until the service time at 1:00pm. Flowers will be accepted form memorial tributes.
