Agnes Beam

Agnes Cogdell Beam, age 94, of 1844 Whiteside Rd Forest City passed away Saturday May 8, 2021 at her home. Agnes was a native of Garza, Texas and retired from Broyhill Furniture Company. Left to cherish her memory are her children Mike Beam of Ellenboro, Tim Beam of Forest City and Priscilla Prescott of Forest City; 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Beam; parents Robert and Rebecca Hoyle Cogdell; daughter Diane Keeter, grandson Randall Prescott, brothers Claude and Rev. Odell Cogdell; sisters Etta Hoyle, Betty Jo Pope, Helen Baker and Georgia Chapman. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday May 10 at Fork Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Cogdell and Rev. Paul White officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials are requested to the American Diabetes Association.
