Alma Queen
Rutherfordton, Alma Queen Alma Jean Hensley Queen, age 71, widow of Robert Queen Sr., of Whiteside Rd. Rutherfordton passed away Sunday at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. Alma was a native of Buncombe County, the daughter of the late Chever and Bertha Heart Hensley, retired from Tanner Company and WalMart and attended Gilkey Baptist Church. Those left to cherish her memory include her children Robert Queen Jr. (Sue). of Rutherfordton, Hank Queen of Spindale, Audrey Queen Self (Danny) of Rutherfordton and Tina Queen Jenkins (Robert Jr.) of Waynesville; sisters Judy Lane of Asheville and Linda Harwood of Barnardsville; 15 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Saturday December 28, 2019 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.Obituary
