Arthur Lynn Dudycha

Rutherfordton, NC Arthur L. Dudycha, 77, died at his home on June 26, 2018 under the watchful care of Hospice. Art is survived by his sons, Jeffry of Columbia, SC and Stephen of Los Angeles CA, his sister Carol Peters of Findlay, OH, and by his wife Linda. He was born in Ripon, Wisconsin in 1940, and earned his Ph.D. in Mathematical and Statistical Psychology from The Ohio State University in 1967. He was a Professor at Purdue University, The West Virginia College of Graduate Studies, and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, where he also served as the Dean of the Business School. Art enjoyed serving as a McNair Mentor for many years at East Rutherford High School, and was a member of the Rutherford County Woodworkers Club. He was a wildlife advocate and photographer, and was passionate about woodworking, travelling, camping, and canoeing. Cremation services are being provided by Crowe’s Mortuary. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later time. The family is an enthusiastic supporter of Hospice, and encourages the support of Hospice of the Carolina Foothills PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043 by others.
