Bernice Nelon
Bernice Marie Moore Nelon, age 85, passed away Sunday at St. Luke’s Hospital in Columbus, NC. Bernice was a native of Inman, SC., a retired textile employee and a member of Grassy Knob Baptist Church. Preceding her in death are her parents William Jackson Moore and Frances Rollins Moore; children Terry Michael Nelon, Sherrill Whitson Nelon, Clay Ervin Nelon and Clint Carter Nelon; also brothers Robert, Arthur, and John Henry Moore. Left to cherish her memory are her children Jerry Dale Nelon (Robin) of Rutherfordton, Larry Bruce Nelon of Green Creek, Judy Gail Nelon of Lake Lure, Steve Allen Nelon (Marcia) of Union, SC and Sharon Sue Nelon of Green Hill; a sister Grace Calderon of Spartanburg, SC; 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday October 9, 2019 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with Pastor Shane Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Cane Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Lake Lure, NC. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service.Obituary
