Billie Christine Haynes Lee, 82, of Spindale, died Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Hendricks County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lemma Phelps Haynes. She was a retired secretary, having worked in furniture sales. Billie enjoyed bowling, going to the Senior Center, and Senior Olympics Dancing. She also enjoyed traveling. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Edward Earl Lee; daughter, Donna Lee; sisters, Patricia Jean Reddings, Yvonne “Rose” Watt, Sue Schaller, and Nora Ann Shorter; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Loren “Chip” Allen, and sisters, Elizabeth Haynes Montgomery and Theresa Marie Haynes. Memorial services will be held 1PM Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 250 Hudlow Road Forest City, NC 28043 with Rev. Ron Setzer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
