Billy Rogers Buchanan, 78, of Rutherfordton died July 1, 2012 at Hospice House. He was born on April 16, 1934 in Jackson County to R. Guy Buchanan and Valerie Rogers Buchanan. He was the grandson of John and Florence Buchanan. Survivors include his wife Marian L. Buchanan and his daughter Cynthia Ensley, two aunts Martha Crisp and Jonnie Hall and many cousins. He was predeceased by a daughter. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from First Union in Charlotte in 1996.
