Billy Ray Green 71, of Jennifer Drive Forest City NC died on Wednesday June 10, 2009 at Rutherford Hospital. He was born in Cleveland County on July 11, 1937 and was the son of the Late Thomas Marshall Greene and his surviving mother Ruby Garver Green. He was a retired truck transport driver. He is survived by two daughters; Teresa Owens of Shelby and Donna Ray Cobb of Forest City. Two step-children; Clarence Turner of Rutherfordton and Diane Roberts of Shelby. One grandson and five step grandchildren. Six Brothers; Earl and Wayne Green of Ellenboro, Miles Green of Mooresboro, Rocky Green of Shingle Hollow, Ricky Green of Forest City and Donald Green of Union Mills. Four Sisters; Barbara Cook of Polkville, Ansley Terry of Kings Mtn., Milan Gatlin of Forest City and Wanda Smith of Asheville. Visitation will be held on Friday June 12, 2009 from 2-3 PM at Crowe’s Mortuary, Funeral services will follow at 3 PM in Crowe’s Chapel with Dr. Ron Williams officiating. Burial will be held at Bethel Baptist Church in Ellenboro.
