Billy Ray Pruett, 71, of Rutherfordton was born October 29, 1943 and died December 23, 2014. Bill was retired textile employee and the son of the late Carmel and Mattie Hill Pruett. Bill leaves behind his wife, Judy Alley Pruett; seven children, Tammy Johns and husband Ed of Kentucky, Johnny Pruett and wife Lisa of Marion, Tommy Pruett and wife Amanda of Rutherfordton, Chris Pruett and wife Alecia of Marion, Allan Toms of Rutherfordton, Lisa Babb and husband Berry of Forest City, and Daniel Toms of Spindale; twenty grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; sisters Janice Brown and husband Doyle, and Patsy Pruett brothers Ray Pruett and Carl Pruett and wife Caroline. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday December 27, 2014 at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. Bill Alley, Rev. Roger Hudgins and Rev. Johnny Pruett officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 1 PM Saturday prior to the funeral service.
