Boyd McDaniel, 79, of Forest City passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at his residence. He was the son of the late Hoston and Della McDaniel. Boyd was a native of Rutherford County and a retired weaver from Stonecutter Mills. He was also a member of Florence Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory are his stepmother Corene McDaniel, son Randy McDaniel and wife Louanne, daughter Robin Selvey, grandchildren; Laura Page, Jeffrey Selvey, and Taylor Selvey, great-grandchildren Lindsay Selvey and Karlie Page, and sisters Marge Horner and Betty McKee. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by grandchildren, Jennifer Selvey and Chad Selvey. Funeral Services will be at 11AM on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
