Burlin “PeeWee” Wood, 89, of Rutherfordton, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville. A native of Jackson County, NC, he was the son of the late Henry and Omie Woods Wood. PeeWee was self employed in the sheet metal industry and was a member of Saving Grace Fellowship. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Barbara Dover of Rutherfordton; granddaughter Buffy Reep and husband Ronnie of Rutherfordton; great grandchildren, Cody Reep and Kaylee Reep of Rutherfordton; brothers, Burles Wood of Spartanburg and Wayne Wood of Brevard; sisters in law Kathleen Gray of Rutherfordton and Dorothy Carland of Rutherfordton, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Wood. Funeral services will be private with Rev. Bill Alley and Rev. Ron Reep officiating.
