Carolyn West Kimbrell, age 72, of Spindale, NC went home to be with her Lord on July the 7th 2015. Carolyn was the daughter of the late Raymond and Maxine West. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Lyndon Scott Hardin. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Melanie Jackson of Tryon, Lisa Martin of the home, Kim Waters (Eddie) of Rutherfordton; sister Janice (Doug) Bright of Forest City; 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. Carolyn was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and nurse for many years. She humbly served in her local church and lived a Christian life. Over a 35 year nursing career, she worked as an occupational health nurse, she was employed by JC Cowan Burlington, Mastercraft, and Sara-Lee. Later in her career she worked passionately with Hospice of Rutherford County. The family will receive friends from 12:30PM-2:00 PM on Friday July the 10th at the Church of the Brethren in Spindale. Services will be held at 2:00PM with the Rev. Russell Payne, Rev. Perry Jones, and Dr. Bruce Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Cemetery.
