Charles Edgar Davis, 85, of Rutherfordton, died Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Hospice House. Born in Rutherford County on September 17, 1930, he was the only child of the late Charles Franklin and Ella Jane Dobbins Davis. Charles was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was owner/operator of a vending company and was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, Spindale. Charles served in many capacities of the church including deacon, Sunday school teacher, and ministering to the home bound members.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Juanita McKaskle Davis of the home; daughters, Angela Wright and husband Bryan of Raleigh, NC and Belva Jane Rasberry and husband Ronald James of Cary, NC; six grandchildren, Phillip, Kristin, Allison, Catherine, Andrew and Charles.

Funeral services will be held 2PM Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. James Daves officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
