Clara Belle Dixon Branscom, 87, of Forest City, passed away Monday, April 30, 2012, at Hospice House. Clara was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Henry Bratcher Dixon and Hattie Alma Dixon. She was a retired winder from Stonecutter Mills and a member of Spencer Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hicks Branscom, Sr., daughter Jan Branscom, and two brothers; Clarence and Hugh Herman Dixon. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Hicks Branscom, Jr. of Ellenboro, daughter Dianne Branscom McDonald and husband David of Charlotte, granddaughter Angela Wilson, grandson Will Craig, great-granddaughter Ashleigh Nolen, great-grandson Chase Craig, and a sister Irene Bailey. Funeral Services will be at 2PM Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Crowe’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Hooper officiating. Burial will follow in Eternal Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00.
