Norris Dale Lane, age, 49 of 440 Ed Thompson Rd. Rutherfordton died Saturday as the result of an automobile accident. Dale was a native of Rutherford County, a member of Cane Creek Baptist Church and employed by Guffey Landscaping. Dale was preceded in death by his mother Winnie Anderson Lane. Surviving are his son Jared Lane of the home; father Norris Lane of Union Mills; sister Patsy Cook of Rutherfordton and 2 grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday at Cane Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Camp and Rev. Lance Scarlett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at Crowe’s Funeral Home.
