Dawn Cox

Mrs. Dawn Brannock Cox age 85 went home to be with the Lord on Friday December 27, 2013. A native of Galax, VA she was a daughter of the late Charles and Tula Katherine Combs Brannock and the widow of Samuel Lee Cox. Mrs. Cox was a retired comptroller and a member of Grace Bible Church. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Kathy Hutchinson (John) of Rutherfordton, NC; her son Barry Cox of Rutherfordton, NC; her sister Betty Sue Richey of Tequesta, FL; her sister in law Winkie Brannock of Sparta, NC; her grandchildren – Robert Cox (Penny), Jamie DiPentino (Tony), Aaron Hutchinson (Heather), Nancy Hughes (Perry), as well as thirteen great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. A celebration of her life will be held 2 PM Saturday January 4, 2014 at Snow Hill Baptist Church 1423 Snow Hill Road Galax, VA with Mr. Sam Blair officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral. Concluding services will be held in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Bible Church P.O. Box 1325 Rutherfordton, NC 28139 or to Rutherford County Hospice P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043. A memorial service will also be held 7 PM Thursday January 9, 2014 at Grace Bible Church located at 829 Hwy 64/74 Rutherfordton, NC. Online condolences may be made at www.crowemortuary.com.
