Dennis Elbert Johnson, age 70, of Union Mills, NC passed away on December 20th 2017 at Hospice of Carolina Foothills. Dennis was a manager at Afa Plastics. Dennis was the son of the late Edith Johnson Smith; Left to cherish his memory are his wife Charlotte Haddox Johnson; daughter Amanda Yelton and husband Jamie Yelton; Brother William Smith; Brother Junior Freshour; Sister Julie Dunn; Sister Annette Seay; Grandchildren Ethan, Trinity, and Drew Yelton; Services will be held on Wednesday December 27th at 7:00PM at Crowe’s Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at The Western Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery, Black Mountain, NC on Thursday December 28th at 10:00AM with military honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
