Donald Grady Morrison Jr., 48, of Union Mills died Sunday, July 12, 2015. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of Rev. Donald and Catherine Walker Morrison. He was a farmer and a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church. Don was a member of the NC Cattlemen’s Association and the Rutherford County Cattlemen’s Association, having served on the Board of Directors in 2014. In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters Luanne Wellborn (Michael Wellborn) of Rutherfordton and Lori Jones (Charlie Ruff) of Shelby; three nieces, Crystal Holbert (Chad Holbert), Amy McFadden (James McFadden) and Rachel Stevens (Sam Morgan); one nephew Dylan Morrison; great niece Jayden Wingo; great nephews Ty Holbert and Hayden McFadden. He was preceded in death by his brother Stan Burgess Morrison. Funeral services will be held 3PM Wednesday, July 15, 2015 At Pisgah United Methodist Church, 4344 US Hwy 64, Rutherfordton, NC with Rev. David Duncan and Rev. Mike Haire officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 12:00 and from 1:00 until 3:00 at the church.
