Dorothy Walker
Dorothy Wright Walker, age 79, of Forest City, died Monday at Hospice House. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Lillie Lynch Wright. She was a seamstress for Doncaster/Tanner and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her son Scotty Walker of Forest City and her daughter Glinda Walker Sizemore of Hudson, NC; four grandchildren, Chad Walker of Boiling Springs, NC, Heather White of Mooresboro, Alicia Blackburn of Conover, and Chris Sizemore of Hudson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Broughton Walker. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 21 at 3 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Don Crawford officiating. Concluding services will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 at the church prior to the service.
