Mr. Eward Lee Campbell, 85 , of Crowe Dairy Road Forest City died at his residence on Saturday May 23, 2009. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late Marvin and Linda Wease Campbell. He was the widow of Annie Lee Campbell. He was a retired textile worker along with being a retired dairy farmer. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army. He was a member of Oak Springs Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons Buddy Campbell and Ronnie Campbell of Forest City, Bobby Campbell of Ellenboro, Donald Campbell of Rutherfordton and Jerry Campbell of Union Mills. One daughter Barbara Conner of King N.C. Two brothers Perry and Marvin Campbell both of Morganton. 12 grandchildren 22 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at Crowe’s Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 PM at Oak Springs Baptist Church with the Rev.’s Don Hollifield Tom Frady and Jerry Campbell officiating. Burial will full military honors will be held in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County POB 336 Forest City NC 28043. Crowe’s Mortuary & Crematory is in charge.
