Mr. Edward Glen Womack age 78 passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A native of Rutherford County he is the son of the late Howard G. and Lucille Camby Womack. He is a retired truck driver and attended Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Faye Roper Womack; children Diane Womack Waters, David E. Toney and wife Sheila, Eric S. Womack and fiancée Catina; grandchildren Kerri Lyda Taylor and husband Dwayne, Alan Waters and fiancée Emily, Tyler Waters and fiancée Kelsey, Jessica Toney, Casey Harper and husband Michael; great grandchildren Landon Harper, Chandler Blount and Connor Blount; sisters Opal Womack Crain and husband Darvin, Judy Womack Hill and husband Leonard, special friend Tony Sullivan, as well as a number of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Teresa Womack Lyda. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church 2466 Cove Road, Rutherfordton, NC 28139 with Rev. Jack Crain, Rev. Bobby Brown, and Rev. Jamie Pascarella officiating. Mr. Womack will be buried at The Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery following the funeral. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until 12:45 PM Saturday April 28, 2018 at Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church.
