Elizabeth Hunt Stallings, age 90, of Spindale died Saturday, January 19th. She was a 1943 graduate of Rutherford Hospital School of Nursing and was employed at the hospital for many years as Director of Nursing and as an administrative assistant. Mrs. Stallings was the daughter of the late Rev. D.J. Hunt and Geneva Gardin Hunt. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Stallings, Sr. and a son, William J. Stallings, Jr. She is survived by one son, John, and his wife Melanie of Burnsville and one daughter Sarah, and her husband, Bill Kirk, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Stallings was a member, elder, and clerk of Session at Spindale Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday January 21st at 3:00PM at Crowes Funeral Chapel with the Rev. William L. Kirk officiating. Receiving of friends will be from 1:00-3:00PM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Eternal Hills.
