Ellen Craver DuSharm, 94, of Rutherfordton died Thursday, April 23 at White Oak Manor. A native of Onandata County, New York, she was a daughter of the late Freeman James and Minnie Mae Kenyon Craver. She was a homemaker and a member of West Genesee Hills Baptist Church in Camillus, New York, and attended Plymouth Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Faye Cole of Fairport, NY and Jeanne Uhlig of Forest City; one sister Imogene Handley of Toms River, NJ; three granddaughters, Saundra Dix of Central Square, NY, Patricia Hemion of Milford, PA, and Laurie Basso of Aberdeen, NC; two grandsons Maj. Mark W.C.DuSharm of N. Little Rock, Arkansas and SSGT David E. Uhlig of Fort Polk, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford E. DuSharm, grandson Jason Cole, three brothers and four sisters.
A memorial service will be held Monday, April 27 at 3 PM at Crowe’s Chapel in Rutherfordton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Great Commission Ministries International, PO Box 484, Caroleen, NC28019. A memorial service will be held at West Genessee Hills Baptist Church in Camillus, NY at a later date with burial following in White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Dewitt, NY.
