Estalee Duckett Waters, age 84, of Union Mills passed away Saturday at her home. She was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Norman and Lorena Bramlett Duckett. Estalee was retired from the State of North Carolina and also from the textile industry. She was a member of the White Oak Baptist Church in Haywood County. Left to cherish her memory are 4 sons; Kenny Duckett, Dewayne, Buddy and Steve Conard ; daughters Debbie Melton and Jeannie Waters along with a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by a sister Wilsie Cook and brothers Luther and Ralph Duckett . Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday July 15 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in the Round Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service. The family request memorials be made to the Rutherford County Honor Guard C/O Veterans Service Office 303 Fairground Rd. Spindale, NC 28160. Crowe’s Mortuary is assisting the Waters Family.
