Pearl Fowler Ethel Pearl Parker Fowler, 92, of Ruth, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Hospice of Rutherford County. A native of Rutherford County she was the daughter of the late Alfred Elihu Parker and Ida Hall Parker. She worked in textiles and was a member of Second Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Mary Lou Henson and husband Broughton of Mooresboro and a brother, Carl Parker of Union Mills, grandchildren; Kim Wilson and husband Roger, Kevin Henson and wife Regina, great-grandchildren; Whittney Wilson, Caleb Wilson, Matthew Henson, Ryan Henson, and Jessica Henson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Fowler, brothers; Lodge, Hicks, Louis, and Alvin Parker, sisters; Pauline Laughter and Ruth Parker. Funeral Services will at 2PM Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Carpenter, and Dr. Cecil Lovelace officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
