Etta Blanton age 72, of Rutherfordton, NC passed away on Friday October the 5th 2012 at Hospice of Rutherford County. Etta was the daughter of the late Gordon and Ollie Mae Lail Smith. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Gene Blanton; Son Mike Landers of Asheville, NC; Daughter Kathie Mae (Paul Kevin) of Forest City, NC; Son Jeffery Charles Blanton of Forest City, NC; Son Brad Eugene Blanton (Tracy) of Forest City, NC; Brother Donald Richard Smith of Ellenboro, NC; Six grandchildren Taylor Blanton Harris, Haley Blanton, Paige Blanton, Kari Landers, Hannah Landers, and Rachel Landers; Services will be held on Monday October the 8th at 11:00AM at Crowe’s Chapel with the Reverend Rusty Harper, and Reverend Glen Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Eternal Hills Cemetery.
