Frances Tate Murray, age 83, of Forest City, NC went home to be with the Lord, Friday, July 31, 2015. Frances was born on October 14, 1931 in Rutherford County and was the daughter of the late Grover and Mallie Tate. She was a graduate of Tri-High School and worked and co-owned Murray’s TV of Spindale for many years. Frances was one of the first organizers of Weight Watchers in Rutherford County. She was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church and a devoted wife, mother and loving Mawmaw and Great Mawmaw to her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her brother, Hoyle Tate . Survivors include Troy Murray, her loving husband of 68 years and her three children, Carol Murray Lattimore and husband Billy of Bostic, NC, Wayne Murray and wife Nell of Statesville, NC and Everette Murray and wife Jan of Spartanburg, SC. Her grandchildren are Chadd Murray, Jason Murray, and Ashley Murray. Frances’s great grandchildren are Caroline Murray, Jayden Murray, Bryson Murray and London Murray. Frances’s sisters are Carolyn Upton and husband Paul of Forest City, NC, Lucy Jane Neal of Silversprings, Md., brother-in-law Clyde Murray of Mobile, Al., sisters–in- law Martha Tate of Shelby, NC, Jessie Taylor of Spindale, NC as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday August 4, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Crowe’s Mortuary. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Wednesday August 5, 2015 at Crowe’s Mortuary Chapel in Rutherfordton with Rev. Bruce Duncan and Rev. Clay Earle officiating. Interment will be in Bostic Baptist Church Cemetery. The family request that donations be made to Hospice of Rutherford County; P.O.
