Fredrick Reavey

Fredrick Peter Reavey, age 91, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday December 5th, 2010. He was a native of Syracuse, NY and a retired US Army Jumpmaster for the 82nd Airborne, and served during WWII. Fredrick was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Mae Fargis Reavey, and parents Daniel Reavey and Elizabeth Boutin Reavey. Survivors include his children Beth Greene and husband Greg Greene of Forest City, NC, Daniel James Reavey of Greensboro, NC; grandson Jeremy Fitzgerald and wife Tara Fitzgerald of Reidsville, NC; great granddaughter Emma Fitzgerald, and a number of nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends Tuesday December 07, 2010 from 10-11AM at Alexander United Methodist Church in Forest City. Funeral services will follow at 11AM with Rev. J.J. Powell officiating. Military Honors provided by Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will be at the home of Beth Greene, 168 Wood Drive Forest City NC 28043.
