Gail Tomblin Russ, 71, of 139 Hickory Street, Rutherfordton NC, passed away September 11, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was a native of Rutherford County and a retired florist. Left to cherish her memories is the husband of the home, Perry L. Russ, children; Scott D. Russ of Shelby, NC, Stanley A. Lancaster of Sandy Mush, NC, Steve L. Walker of Cowpens, SC, and one sister, Sandra Jones of Rutherfordton, NC, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Bertha Tomblin, and one son Shane L. Russ. Funeral service will be private and held at a later date.
