Gary Buren Carswell, age 55, of 278 Big Level Rd. Mill Spring, N.C. died Saturday at St Luke’s Hospital in Columbus. He was a native of Rutherford County, a retired welder, member of the NRA and Pea Ridge Baptist Church. He was the son of Addie Mae Taylor Carswell of the home and the late John Buren Carswell. In addition to his mother Gary is survived by; sisters Jeanette Rickman of Mill Spring, Sandra Crain of Rutherfordton; brothers Austin Carswell of Landrum and Nick Carswell of Spindale. Graveside services will be conducted at 3 PM Wednesday at Pea Ridge Baptist Church. The Rev. Jeff Parker and Rev. Bob Philbeck will officiate.
